1. How long does the drying process take?
The duration of the drying process depends very much on the product. Drying Herbs take about 5 hours of sun, fruits 8 – 12 hours of sun and fish and meat about 10 – 14 hours of sun.

2. Why is the colour of fruits, herbs and vegetables after the drying process in CONA solar driers still that bright and colorful?
Important therefore is to protect the drying product from light and that the drying process is very considerate. All CONA solar driers consider all these aspects.

3. What parts is the delivery made of?
All parts are prefabricated and most of them are already assembled to make a quick and easy installation in few hours possible. A detailed instruction with pictures is included.

4. How long is the lifespan of the fruit dryer?
All used parts for the fruit dryer are made of high quality components like stainless steal, glass and waterproofed glued wooden parts. All components are predestined for a long lifespan.

5. How much are the costs of maintenance of the fruit dryer?
The costs of maintenance are very little. Sometimes the surface of the sun collector has to be cleaned to maintain the high degree of effectiveness. If the dryer is exposed to weather it can be necessary to paint the surface of the drying-chamber after some years in use.

6. Is the economic use of the fruit dryer also possible in countries like Austria, Switzerland and Germany?
Without doubts the fruit dryer can also be used economically in these countries. But it is important that the dryer is running to capacity in the sunny and warm months. From early spring to the start of autumn various products can be dried like strawberries,  bilberries, raspberries, gooseberries, apricots, plums, apples, pears and all kind of herbs can be dried.
